Last weekend I made a trip to the National Museum of Computing (TNMOC) to attend two back-to-back days of Econet glory! This was my first ever Econet LAN party and it was ace. I got to experience what it's like having a large roomful of Acorns all networked together, playing competitive Elite, bidding on machines I don't really need and enjoying some first class talks from the likes of Rob "Networking With The BBC Microcomputer" Napier, Bob "Least Significant Byte" Franklin and Acorn's very own Lawrence Hardwick. The personal highlight for me was getting my Beeb wired for Econet, thanks to Richard (UKWebb)! In this video I try to give a taste of what the event was like, but the best way to experience it will be to sign up for next year's event yourself, I highly recommend it.
A big thank you from to the museum and its team of amazing volunteers.
