In at #28 is one of the most technically accomplished games ever to land on the BBC Micro: it's Aviator, from Geoff Crammond, published by Acornsoft in 1983. This is a breathtaking achievement for 8-bit gaming, and for the Beeb in particular. Packing a fully fledged 3-dimensional flight simulator into 32k of memory is something you really have to see to believe. Terrific fun - and terrifically demanding - this game is a hard taskmaster but oh-so-rewarding when you get it right. Will I ever land my Spitfire? Enjoy...
